3 own hot cells - a new chapter in Dresden-Rossendorf
August 20, 2024 marked a significant milestone for Eckert & Ziegler when we at Gamma-Service Recycling GmbH, together with our sister company Isotope Technologies Dresden GmbH, were able to inaugurate our new 1,700 square meter radioisotope and hot cell facilities in Dresden-Rossendorf. This event was honored by the presence of the Saxon State Ministers Martin Dulig and Thomas Schmidt as well as Dresden's Mayor Dirk Hilbert.
Around 200 valued guests attended the celebration and inspected our three new hot cells. After our handling equipment was also tried out, it has now been put into operation by our hot cell experts.
With an investment of around 10 million euros, this expansion underlines our commitment to meeting the increasing demand for the production and handling of radionuclides for sterilization in the medical and industrial sectors, among others.
This new facility not only lays the foundation for our future growth. We are also pleased to be able to make an even more significant contribution to the mission of Eckert & Ziegler SE.
